Abhishek Sharma is one of the most destructive openers in the shorter formats of the game. Known for his clean striking, Sharma first grabbed attention as a teenager, being picked up by Delhi Capitals in 2018. He was also part of India’s U19 World Cup-winning team that year. His IPL debut saw him score a blistering 46 off 19 balls. Since joining Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2019, Abhishek has been a key player, contributing both with the bat and with occasional left-arm orthodox spin. He holds the record for the joint-fastest 50 by an SRH batter, off just 16 balls. Having made his T20I debut in 2024, Sharma already boasts two international centuries and has a strike rate of over 190 in T20Is. SRH retained him for TATA IPL 2025, making him a cornerstone of their top order.
